Notorious right-wing author David Horowitz has come under fire for his book, “The Professors: The 101 Most Dangerous Academics in America.” The book is seen as part of an ongoing campaign to silence freedom of speech and academic inquiry while targeting left, progressive and liberal professors. Historian Eric Foner and African American studies professor Manning Marable are on the list. A coalition of teachers’ unions, student organizations and others has come together to fight this and other ultra-right attacks on campus.

It is the KGB propagandists that have infiltrated all levels of the American education system that are working tirelessly to stifle free speech.
Horowitz has a valid point. If these "institutions of higher learning" existed in a competitive marketplace and without American taxpayers subsidizing their scandalous fraud-ridden industry, they would be free to indoctrinate impressionable students' minds to their cold black heart's content.
However, since virtually all colleges and universities in the United States are content to suckle upon Uncle Sam's teat at the expense of taxpaying Americans of all political persuasions, they should be subject to strict government regulations regarding the dissemination of political propaganda.
Big Education should be forced to choose between maintaining the status quo as fringe Marxist political action committees that operate lawfully without the benefit of taxpayer funds; or reverting back to the traditional role of providing an unbiased education to the respective customers, thereby retaining access to available public funding.
Granted, the ideal scenario would involve American intelligence agencies actually doing their jobs and rooting out the foreign spies and their treasonous American-born counterparts from the universities. However the unfortunate reality is that all evidence suggests the KGB still has an extremely strong presence within the U.S. intelligence community, and appears to have enough influence over American spy agencies to effectively thwart such an investigation.
Aside from a complete and total overhaul of the U.S. intelligence community, our most effective means of combating the communists and radicals brainwashing our children may be to engage in a massive, coordinated litigation campaign in hopes of draining them (the universities) financially, and hopefully even bankrupting a few of them.
